Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) Bar Raiser AI uses, and why. We keep this deliberately short because we use very few of them: we don't run advertising trackers, and we don't sell or share your data with ad networks. We do use one analytics cookie, described below, which requires your consent.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the Service to work and can't be switched off without breaking login and account features:

  • Authentication/session cookies, set by our database and auth provider, Supabase, to keep you signed in and identify your account securely
  • Security cookies, used to protect against cross-site request forgery and other common attacks

3. Payment provider cookies

When you subscribe or buy a top-up pack, checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy's checkout page may set its own cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These are governed by Lemon Squeezy's own privacy and cookie policies, not ours.

4. Analytics cookies

With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service (e.g. which pages are viewed, general traffic patterns) so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _gid and may process data outside your country. These cookies are optional: they only load after you click Accepton the cookie banner, and you can decline them or change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site and reloading the page.

5. Voice session identifiers

Live mock interviews use short-lived session tokens with our speech providers (Deepgram for speech-to-text, Amazon Polly for text-to-speech) so audio can stream to and from your browser. These are technical identifiers needed to run the call, and they aren't used to track you across sites and expire when the session ends.

6. What we don't use

We don't use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or marketing cookies (e.g. Facebook Pixel), and we don't sell your data to ad networks. If that changes in the future, we'll update this page first.

7. Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Strictly necessary cookies can't be switched off without breaking login and checkout. Analytics cookies are optional: use the cookie banner to accept or decline them, or clear your browser's local storage for this site to reset your choice.
